Frequently Asked Questions

What brands of paint do you use?

Our standard line of paint is Benjamin Moore's Regal Select for ceilings and walls, and Aura for doors and trim. However we are familiar with and have experience with most domestic and imported paint products.

Do you cover the floor and furniture before painting?

Preserving your propery during the project is one of our priorities. We will cover all the floors and surfaces that aren't being painted. Furniture that can't be removed will also be protected.

Do you fill nail holes on walls?

Filling nail holes is considered standard surface preparation by us.

Do you fix water damage, cracks in walls, or other wall repairs?

We will repair your walls, however there is an additional charge for each repair. It is not included in standard surface preparation.

Do you prime surfaces before painting?

On repaints it's not neccessary to prime unless converting from oil to latex. When repainting over existing latex paint, a light sanding is enough to give the new paint a proper surface to mechanically bond to. If neccessary we will prime all bare areas such as unfinished drywall or wall repairs. If a full prime coat is desired it will be at an additional cost.

Do you fix caulking cracks before painting?

We will cut out the failed sections of caulking and lay a new bead prior to painting. All areas that need caulk will also be caulked.

Do you sand the surfaces before painting?

We pole sand the surfaces prior to painting to deliver a smooth finish.

Do you clean up after the paintjob?

We will vacuum and wipe down the areas we worked in before leaving.

Can you provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI)?

We are fully insured and can provide you with a COI. Please plan ahead to allow time for building approval if in a condo/co-op.

What method of payment do you accept?

We accept Visa , Mastercard , American Express , Discover , PayPal , Cash , and Check . There is no fee for using credit cards.
